This temple to Rama stands a few hundred metres from Sita Kund, the spring tied to the Ramayana legend of the Ajodhya Hills. Built by local people, it holds images of Rama, Sita and Lakshmana, and its walls are painted with scenes from the Ramayana. Worshippers usually visit the spring and the temple one after the other.
The district administration's page, last updated in 2022, describes the temple as about 20 years old and says local people built it 500 m from Sita Kund; Sangbad Pratidin puts the distance at 200 m. It belongs to the Purvanchal Kalyan Ashram, part of the Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram.
Rama is worshipped here daily, and many devotees come, according to a 2024 report. For local people the temple and the spring make a single pilgrimage, and tribal hunters who drink from Sita Kund before the hunt also offer prayers here.
